Accurate, constituency-level public opinion
Political research measures what voters care about, how they rate the work being done, and how opinion is shifting. Done well, it is the difference between assuming what a constituency wants and knowing it.
We design samples that represent each constituency by area, age, gender and community, word questions neutrally, and interview voters face to face in their own language. Every interview is geo-tagged and quality checked, and we report what people say, not what anyone hopes to hear.
What political research covers
Six studies for campaigns, representatives, parties and researchers.
Opinion polls
Representative surveys of voting intention and leader ratings.
Voter sentiment tracking
Repeated waves that show how opinion moves over time.
Issue research
What voters care about most, area by area.
Constituency profiling
The make-up of a constituency, ward by ward.
Performance and scheme feedback
How people rate local work and government schemes.
Group discussions
Focus groups that explain why opinion is moving.
How a political study runs
Five steps from design to findings.
Design
Objectives, constituencies and a representative sample.
Neutral questionnaire
Questions worded so they do not lead the answer.
Field work
Face-to-face interviews in the local language, geo-tagged.
Quality checks
Back-checks and validation before any number is reported.
Findings
Results by area and group, with what is driving them.
A poll is only useful if it tells you the truth, especially when the truth is unwelcome.
